About Softwerk

Our services and expertise are the result of over 10 years of experience in industry, research, and education. Our developers are experts in Java, Objective C, C/C++, C#, Ruby, Linus/Unix, Windows, Apache, Tomcat, MS SQL, and more. Current customers and partners cover a range of industries within Sweden and abroad, such as Alstom Power Sweden (energy), Artisan Global Media Ltd., Combitech AB (Saab Group - IT solutions), and Eurocontrol (the European organization).

Softwerk was founded in 2008 by employees and alumni of the Department of Computer Science at Linnaeus University (formerly Växjö University) as a spin-off company. The idea was to form a company that provides high quality software development, integration and project management in Sweden and Europe.

Our Team

Eddie Freij, CEO

Eddie has worked in various leadership positions in IT-companies (SYSteam, CITEC, Avalon Innovation, SuperOffice) and the manufacturing industry (SONO Group). He has extensive experience from both the supplier side and demand side when it comes to IT-solutions. As a consultant he has worked with project management, business management and as an interim CEO.

Dr. Rüdiger Lincke, CTO, Managing Software Architect

Dr. Rüdiger Lincke has been involved in numberous industrial research and development projects. He is an expert in software engineering, program analysis, and mobile programming. In different roles - project manager, quality manager, analyst, consultant, and developer - he worked with companies like Alstom Power, Artisan Global Media, Combitech, Datev, EuroControl, IBM, and many others. Rüdiger has over 10 years of experience in design and development involving Java programming, Web programming, and related technologies (mainly Open source). Since 2009 he is gaining experience in the development of mobile applications for iOS based devices.

Prof. Welf Löwe, Advisor

Prof. Dr. Welf Löwe is a professor in Computer Science; he has held a Chair in Software Technology at Linnaeus University since 2002. His experience with numerous projects in industry and his own research, has made him an expert in distributed and parallel applications, program analysis, and compiler technologies. In different roles - project coordinator, quality manager, advisor and developer - he worked with companies like ABB, Alstom Power, Audi, BMW, Bosch, Combitech, EuroControl, Daimler, IKEA, Volvo, and many others.

Corina Löwe, Finance Manager

Corina Löwe has been with the company since early 2012. She is currently an associate professor of German at Linneaus University, along with the program coordinator for the program language, culture, and communication. She has a secondary teaching degree in economics, among others.

Scott Zaban, Customer Solutions - Web Developer

Scott Zaban has, since 1995, been working in small business ventures in the private sector in Chicago and Washington, DC. He attended Linnaeus University (formerly Växjö University) in 2002 studying Scandinavian Business. He is the main point of contact for all North American customers and is our web developer.
